About Mighty Pine Brewing

Many years ago, Amy Burghart gifted her husband Doug with a home brewing kit from the local home brew supply store, thinking he’d enjoy it.

Twenty years later, in 2021, they made the bold move to leave their home in Bellingham, WA, and purchase the property at the corner of E 8th and Albert Streets in Port Angeles as the future home of Mighty Pine Brewing.

Combining Doug’s technical brewing skills and construction background with Amy’s creative eye and expression, they spent the next several years designing, financing, permitting, constructing, and bringing their vision of a unique brewery experience to life. Mighty Pine proudly opened its doors in August 2024.

The Burgharts believe the key to a successful and sustainable business is a never-ending pursuit of quality: in the beer they serve, the atmosphere of the taproom space, and the friendly, welcoming service they provide together with their team.

Building community is one of Mighty Pine’s core values, intentionally created with a warm, comfortable, and welcoming space for guests to enjoy time with friends and family. Whether you are a lifelong Port Angeles resident or visiting the area to enjoy the incredible natural beauty of this unique place in the world, you will always be welcome at Mighty Pine Brewing.
